Dili, 18 June 2012 – The United Nations Secretary-General, Ban Ki-moon, appoints Finn Reske-Nielsen as Acting Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Timor-Leste and Head of the United Nations Integrated Mission in Timor-Leste.
Finn Reske-Nielsen will serve as head of the UN Mission until the envisaged closure of UNMIT at the end of 2012. He also retains his functions as UN Resident Coordinator and UNDP Resident Representative in Timor-Leste.
