The HCT is a coordination forum for humanitarian and early recovery activities in Timor-Leste.
The objective of the HCT is to ensure sound coordination and communication on emergency preparedness, humanitarian and early recovery response in Timor-Leste between the UN, non-government organizations (NGOs), and international organizations. The HCT will work in close collaboration with the Government to facilitate a coordinated and effective approach in support of and to assist people affected by a humanitarian crisis.
This forum replaces the previous Humanitarian Coordination Committee (HCC) as the international policy and advocacy body.
Inter-Cluster Coordination Group (ICCG)
The Inter-Cluster Coordination Group (ICCG) objective is to ensure sound coordination, information and communication on emergency preparedness, humanitarian and early recovery response in Timor-Leste across all Clusters rolled out in the country. The ICCG also aims at ensuring coherence and transparency when addressing inter-Cluster and cross-cutting issues such as human rights, HIV/AIDS, age, environment and gender mainstreaming, and ensuring increased capacity of Clusters to comply with international guidelines, standards and principles.
Humanitarian and Recovery Update
The Humanitarian and Recovery Update aims at providing consolidated information on humanitarian and recovery issues to key stakeholders, including the donor community in Timor-Leste. The Update is based on voluntary information inputs from UNMIT, UN Agencies, Funds, Programmes, NGO members of the Humanitarian Country Team, and other partners. Inputs for the Updates are consolidated jointly by the Humanitarian Coordination Unit and the Office of the Resident Coordinator.
